Maria Chiara Lamperti Milano
Micro sculptures to be worn. A path between mythology and tradition
Maria Chiara Lamperti was born in Milan in 1989; and lives and works there. In 2012 she graduated in sculpture from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and has being creating her own sculptures in steel and bronze with the investment castings method since 2010. Using the same technique, she has created her first bronze and silver jewels inspired by the world of aquatic micro-organisms (Pediastrum). In 2015, during a trip to Florence, she came across the workshop of the master Alessandro Dari from where she experimented new wax modelling techniques. Inspired by the master, she started along a new, mystic-figurative artistic path. With the "Teste” ring collection, Maria Chiara uses traditional, allegoric mythological themes to model human figures with different characters and identities.
